Monday, Jan. 8

3:45 a.m. A 911 caller reported a fight at the One Stop Mart on Stafford Hansell Road, Hermiston.

6:33 a.m. Umatilla police received a report of a vehicle prowler at the Quality Inn.

8:56 a.m. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on Wildhorse Road, Weston. Sheriff’s deputies took a report.

10:52 a.m. A resident on Southeast California Avenue, Irrigon, reported a confused elderly man entered the house and left. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies did not locate the man.

11:27 a.m. Hermiston police received a report of an assault on the 600 block of South First Street.

1:05 p.m. A caller reported a burglary on the 900 block of West Hermiston Avenue.

2:13 p.m. A caller reported the unauthorized use of his business fuel card at Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store, Boardman. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation.

3:43 p.m. A caller on Southeast Utah Avenue, Irrigon, reported two checks were written on a joint account shared with her father. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies took a report.

5:40 p.m. A caller on Shoemake Road, Boardman, reported an individual broke into their residence and assaulted a roommate. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies took a report.

Tuesday, Jan. 9

9:57 a.m. A caller reported vandalism to a bathroom at High Banks, Irrigon. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and took a report.

8:13 a.m. Hermiston police received a report of a burglary on the 1100 block of Northwest Second Street.

11:27 a.m. A caller reported an assault on the 600 block of South First Street, Hermiston.

4:33 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a prowler at a house on Southeast Division Street, Irrigon. Sheriff’s deputies responded and did not locate the prowler.

6:16 p.m. Local emergency services responded to a report of a chimney fire on Northwest Water Street, Heppner. The fire was extinguished.

8:47 p.m. Umatilla police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Bridgeport Avenue.

Wednesday, Jan. 10

8:50 a.m. A caller reported a possible break-in at a residence he is looking after on Idaho Lane, Irrigon. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and determined the wind caused the situation.

10:49 a.m. A caller reported encountering a semitrailer that was stolen from Hermiston on Southwest Wyoming Avenue and Second Street in Irrigon. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies recovered the semi and took a report.

1:46 p.m. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic disturbance at Franco’s Auto Body, Hermiston.

3:44 p.m. A 911 caller reported a violation of a restraining order on Joy Lane, Hermiston.

4:36 p.m. A 911 caller reported a disturbance on East Elm Avenue, Hermiston.

6:11 p.m. A 911 caller reported a car crash involving a semitrailer and a car on North Highway 395 and Baggett Lane, Hermiston. Emergency services responded.

8:45 p.m. A 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance on Southeast Gilmore Street, Heppner. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies and the ambulance from Heppner responded.

Thursday, Jan. 11

4:50 p.m. A resident at Bella Vista Estates, Boardman, reported catching a stray dog that barks and howls all night. The resident does not know who owns the dog.

7:52 p.m. A resident on West Sperry Street, Heppner, reported receiving threatening texts.

9:24 p.m. A 911 caller reported a disturbance on Culp Lane, Hermiston.

11:26 p.m. A 911 caller reported a disturbance at the Warming Station on North Highway 395, Hermiston. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies made an arrest.

Friday, Jan. 12

7:08 a.m. A 911 caller reported criminal mischief on West Orchard Avenue, Hermiston. Police took a report.

8:32 a.m. A man told Hermiston police his daughter found what he believed to be a gun in his home. Police looked into the report.

8:55 a.m. A 911 caller reported being worried about a person on the ground, covered in blankets near North First Street and West Cherry Avenue, Hermiston. The police completed a welfare check.

12:02 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report from an Ione woman who received a fraud notice from her bank.

1:56 p.m. A 911 caller reported a fire inside a house on Southwest Seventh Street, Hermiston.

2:52 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of a vehicle theft on North First Street.

Saturday, Jan. 13

11:31 a.m. A caller reported the theft of three vehicles from Hermiston and the resident on Southeast 11th Street, Irrigon, who allegedly purchased the vehicles is refusing to give them back.

5:41 p.m. Local emergency services responded to a report of a power line transformer fire on Southeast 14th Street, Irrigon.

8:04 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of a burglary on the 200 block of Northwest 11th Street.

Sunday, Jan. 14

1:44 a.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an intoxicated man assaulting people on Depot Lane, Irrigon. Law enforcement separated the individuals involved.

2:16 a.m. A caller on Northeast Second Street, Boardman, reported her boyfriend assaulted her with a stick. Local law enforcement and emergency services responded and de-escalated the situation.

12:06 p.m. An Ione resident reported a local courier services company scammed him.

Monday, Jan. 15

12:06 a.m. Hermiston police received a report of an assault on the 800 block of East Montana Avenue.

2:51 a.m. A 911 caller reported a disturbance on Lorraine Avenue, Hermiston.

2:22 p.m. A caller on Columbia Lane, Irrigon, complained his neighbors were stealing power from his shop through an extension cord without his permission.

5:12 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual face down in the snow, possibly intoxicated, on Southeast Chase Street, Heppner. An ambulance transported the person to Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner.

Arrests, citations

Jan. 8

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office at 8:31 p.m. received information regarding the welfare of a woman at Glen Haven Apartments in Heppner. The sheriff’s office checked on the woman and arrested a 48-year-old man on a felony probation violation for alcohol use.

Jan. 11

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Marvin Lewis Strickland, 44, for menacing, harassment, fourth-degree assault and strangulation constituting domestic violence.

Jan. 12

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Angel Rafael Delacruz Cardenas, 23, for second-degree disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal mischief.

Jan. 13

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Johnson Ronald Lee, 65, on the 31000 block of Cecil Street, Hermiston, for felony fleeing, reckless driving and giving false information and for violating parole and on a warrant for failure to appear.

Hermiston police arrested Shawn Nathan Curtis, 27, and Devin Lindsey Christensen, 32, at Eldorado Manor, 245 NW 11th St., for second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and criminal conspiracy. Police also arrested Curtis on two felony state holds and Christensen for first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.
