HERMISTON — The Hermiston First United Methodist Church recently began a series, “Putting Our Faith to Work in Dangerous Times: A Study of the Letters of James.”

The five-week book study series began Tuesday, Jan. 30, noon in Davis Hall at the church, 191 E. Gladys Ave. It continues each Tuesday through Feb. 27. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch; beverages will be provided.
