Sentences

The following criminal sentences have been imposed in Umatilla County Circuit Court:

Cody James Boede, 19, of Pendleton, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to felony fleeing; sentenced to 18 months probation and $300 in fines.

Rayven Tequoi Lotches, 24, of Ontario, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to assault of a public safety officer (a corrections officer at Two Rivers Correctional Institution, Umatilla), sentenced to 20 months in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Sergio Chavez Ochoa, 63, of Hermiston, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering another person; sentenced to 90 days in the Umatilla County Jail, lifetime revocation of his driver’s license, two years of probation and $2,100 in fines.

Theodore Edward Jewell, 62, of Monument, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to DUII; sentenced to two days in the Umatilla County Jail, two years of probation, one year suspension of his driver’s license and a $2,800 fine.

Esteban Pedro Nieto Mendez, 50, of Umatilla, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to DUII; sentenced to a diversion program and a $490 fine.

Brandon Madrigal, 22, of Boardman, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to DUII; sentenced to a diversion program and a $490 fine.

Samuel Zurita Ramirez, 28, of Boardman, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to DUII and two counts of recklessly endangering another person; sentenced to two years of probation, one year suspension of his driver’s license and $1,700 in fines.

Palekasala Taupau, 21, of Tacoma, Washington, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to second-degree robbery; sentenced to five years, eight month in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections with credit for time served and three years post-prison supervision.

The following criminal sentences have been imposed in Morrow County Circuit Court:

Eder Romero Romero, 30, of Boardman, pleaded guilty in a 2023 case to DUII; sentenced to one year suspension of his driver’s license, three years of probation and a $2,000 fine. He also pleaded guilty in another 2023 case to DUII, reckless driving and hit-and-run involving property damage; sentenced to three years suspension of his driver’s license, five years of probation and a $2,000 fine.

Lawsuits

The following lawsuits have been filed in Umatilla County Circuit Court:

Morgan Delbert Barner versus Corey Lee McDonough, both of Pendleton; seeks $9,000.

State Farm Fire and Casualty Company versus De Anda Trucking Inc., De Anda Transport Inc.; seeks $22,199.92.

Rikki S. Higgins versus Wyatt Hoyem, both of Hermiston; seeks $1,840.
