Library book club meets March 12

“The Surgeon’s Daughter” by Audrey Blake will be discussed during Bookminders, the Hermiston Public Library's book club, on March 12, 2024, in the library’s downstairs program room.

HERMISTON — “The Surgeon’s Daughter” by Audrey Blake will be discussed during Bookminders, the Hermiston Public Library’s book club. A historical novel, it is the second book in the Nora Beady series.

The event is Tuesday, March 12, 1:30 p.m. in the library’s downstairs program room, 235 E. Gladys Ave., Hermiston. There is no fee to participate.

The author is actually a pseudonym for writers Regina Sirois, who lives in Kansas, and Jaima Fixsen, of Alberta, Canada. The two women met as finalists through a writing contest and teamed up to write together. They share a love of nature, history, literature and formidable women.
