The 2024 Cognizant Classic has put up a $9 million purse, with $1.62 million to the winner. It’s not a PGA Tour signature event, but it’s still drawn a solid field headlined by Rory McIlroy.

The early returns from PGA National were surprising — what was normally one of the Tour’s toughest non-major courses was getting blitzed by the field. It will be interesting to see how low the winning score ultimately goes on Sunday.
