HEPPNER — Free music is featured on Saturday, March 16 during the Wee Bit o’ Ireland in downtown Heppner. Presented by the Heppner Chamber of Commerce, the full festival runs March 14-17.

Music to get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit includes Whisky for Breakfast, who will perform during Ceili, a traditional Irish social gathering, from 2-4 p.m. at the Heppner Elks Lodge. Also, the Blue Mountain Old Time Fiddlers will play toe-tappin’ music from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Senior Center.

And popular Celtic group Tiller’s Folly will take the stage from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Gilliam & Bisbee Event Center. The group is known for its lively tunes, sad love songs and whimsical sea shanties. Audience members often tap their toes, clap their hands and sing along.

Chamber Executive Director Madison Rosenbalm said many of the Saturday activities are free of charge, thanks to the Morrow County Unified Recreation District.
