Hermiston seniors eligible for HEF scholarships

HERMISTON — The Hermiston Education Foundation is seeking applicants for its 2024-25 scholarship program.
The foundation will award eight $2,500 post-secondary education scholarships to graduating seniors from Hermiston High School who plan to pursue an accredited academic program at a college or university. In addition, qualified applicants are invited to apply for a $10,000 renewable scholarship, which provides $2,500 a year for up to four years, provided the student maintains a verified grade-point average of at least 3.0.
According to a press release from George Clough, of the HEF Scholarship Committee, important factors in the evaluation process include academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership and financial need. Applications are available at the HHS counseling office and online at www.hermistoneducationfoundation.org.
The deadline to apply is March 28. Applicants will be notified no later than April 25.
