The hunts are on!

The Easter bunny is hopping into the region with community Easter egg hunts in area towns. Unless otherwise noted, the activities are free.

HERMISTON — Children ages 10 and younger can search under the stars during the Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 29, 8 p.m. at Butte Park, 1245 NW Seventh St. Bring a flashlight, headlamp or cell phone to illuminate the field. There will be a lighted area for younger children.

BOARDMAN — Boardman Parks and Recreation is hosting a pair of Easter egg hunts. Teens are invited to the Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 29, 8 p.m. at Boardman Marina Park, 1 W. Marine Drive. And the hunt for kids ages 0-12 is Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m., also at marina park.

Space is limited and advance registration is required to dive into the Underwater Egg Hunt at the Boardman Pool and Recreation Center, 311 NE Olson Road. It is Saturday, March 30, 1-3 p.m. for ages 0-17. The registration fee is $5 via teamsideline.com/boardmanor. Children under 8 must be accompanied in the water by a parent (at no charge).

ECHO — The annual Echo Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Echo Community Church and the Echo Volunteer Fire Department, features three separate areas on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 9 a.m.

Ages 3 and under will hunt at the church, 21 N. Bonanza St.; ages 4-8 will gather at George Park, North Dupont Street; and ages 9-12 on the football field at Echo High School, 600 Gerome St. Younger children may hunt with older siblings if it’s inconvenient to split them up.

IRRIGON — Members of Irrigon Moose Lodge No. 2486 are busy filling eggs with candy and special surprises for children 0-12. The Easter egg hunt is Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. at 220 NE Third St. For more information, search Facebook via bit.ly/43wLy8a.

Then, hop on over to Irrigon Marina Park, 430 NE Eighth St., for the Easter EGGstravaganza. Coordinated by the Family Worship Center, it starts at 11 a.m. For questions, call 541-922-3054.

STANFIELD — Kids up to age 12 are invited to the Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Stanfield Moose Lodge No. 920. The event is Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. at Coe Park, at West Coe Avenue by the railroad tracks.

Members of the lodge will dye dozens and dozens of eggs. In addition, there are special plastic-filled eggs with prizes. For questions, call 541-449-3304.

UMATILLA — Umatilla Parks and Recreation is hosting a Flashlight Egg Hunt on Friday, March 29, 7 p.m. at Umatilla Marina Park, 1710 Quincy Ave.

Bring a basket and flashlight for the egg-citing adventure. It is open to ages 2-17 with participants released in different age groups.

Also, the Umatilla Museum will sell tickets for an Easter basket raffle from 5-6:55 p.m. at the park. Tickets are 25 cents each or five for $1.
