One injured when pickup crashes into Stanfield McDonald’s

STANFIELD — A pickup that crashed Friday morning, April 19, into the McDonald’s at the Pilot Travel Center in Stanfield injured one person inside the restaurant.

Umatilla County Fire District. No 1 received a callout at 9:38 a.m. that day to respond to the crash at the truck stop. Crews found a white Ford pickup had driven into the side of the McDonald’s restaurant within the Pilot.
The crash resulted in non-life threatening injuries to a person inside the restaurant, according to the fire district. An ambulance took the victim to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.
The collision caused significant damage to the building.
