I support Dave Drotzmann for senator for District 29. His dedication and commitment to addressing critical issues make him the clear choice.

Dave, as a small-business owner, comprehends the challenges our local businesses face and is dedicated to providing necessary support for their success. His plans will foster economic growth and job creation in our district.

Dave is invested in addressing our community’s housing crisis, recognizing the need for affordable housing options to ensure safe and stable housing for all.

Dave prioritizes accountability in government spending, emphasizing fiscal responsibility. He vows to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently, holding state government accountable at every turn.

Dave prioritizes public safety, supporting law enforcement and implementing proactive policies to enhance neighborhood safety. His dedication promises better and safer communities.

Dave also recognizes the urgency of addressing homelessness and addiction. He understands these issues require a multifaceted approach, including access to treatment and support services as well as initiatives to prevent homelessness.

Dave advocates for education, prioritizing school improvement and ensuring students have necessary resources. He views education investment as crucial for our future and pledges to prioritize initiatives enhancing educational quality in our district.

Dave staunchly defends conservative values like the Second Amendment and protecting innocent life. He pledges relentless efforts to uphold these principles, strengthening our community’s foundation.

In recent years, our state has faced significant challenges, particularly concerning drug legalization. As the director of New Horizons in Hermiston, I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of addiction on individuals and families. It’s time for bold leadership and meaningful reform to address this pressing issue, and I fully support Dave Drotzmann’s candidacy for state senator in District 29.

Dave has proven himself to be a dedicated advocate for our community. His efforts through the League of Oregon Cities were instrumental in repealing the most harmful aspects of Measure 110, paving the way for crucial changes to our approach to addiction. But there’s still much work to be done. We need sustainable funding for recovery centers like mine to ensure we can provide the support and resources needed for those seeking help.

Having worked closely with Dave, I have seen his unwavering commitment to our Eastern Oregon values. As mayor of Hermiston, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to listen, collaborate and find solutions to complex problems. I trust that he will bring this same dedication and integrity to the state Senate, advocating tirelessly for policies that make our communities healthier and safer.

I am writing to express my support for Dave Drotzmann for District 29 state senator. During my time as athletic director at Hermiston High School, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand Mayor Drotzmann’s dedication to our community and tireless efforts to improve the lives of our kids.

Dave’s role on the HSD Board of Directors has been instrumental in the development and enhancement of our athletic facilities, such as Kennison Field/Bulldog Stadium and the construction of seven full-size elementary gyms with public seating. These facilities have not only provided our student-athletes with state-of-the-art venues to compete, but have transformed our community into a hub for athletic events, generating significant revenue for our local economy.

The addition of the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center has also expanded opportunities for our youth, particularly through programs like 4-H and the HEROs project. The increased capacity in our events center allows us to host a wide range of events, providing our community with valuable resources and fostering a sense of pride and unity among residents.

Dave’s tenure as president of the Sports Boosters for over a decade further underscores his commitment to supporting student-athletes. Under his leadership, the Sports Boosters have raised substantial funds to reinvest in sports programs, keeping students engaged in activities and on track to graduate.

I have no doubt that Dave will continue to be a strong voice for our region, fighting to improve the lives of all Oregonians.

I support Dave Drotzmann for state senator in District 29. My relationship with Dr. Drotzmann started 16 years ago when he hired me as an optometric assistant in his local small practice. I quickly came to realize that he has the experience and insight to make wise decisions when it comes to supporting our local businesses.

Hermiston has experienced rapid growth under Dr. Drotzmann’s leadership. As mayor, has been instrumental in making a difference and continues to strive to make improvements for our community.

My father, Eddie De La Cruz, also worked with Dr. Drotzmann as former president of Hermiston’s Hispanic Advisory Committee. Together, they built a committee where members of diverse backgrounds felt comfortable bringing their issues to the community for help and support. We finally had a voice, and Dr. Drotzmann allowed us to be heard.

Dr. Drotzmann’s commitment and leadership as Hermiston mayor has helped to provide families like mine with better schools, nice parks, safe streets and healthy churches. He was a valuable partner helping our local churches organize the “I Love My City” event, which has grown from 70 volunteers when it started in 2016 up to 600 volunteers spreading the love of God in our community.

As a mom, business owner and member of the Hispanic Advisory Committee, I want to be sure we have someone like Dr. Dave Drotzmann who will listen and understand our needs. Dr. Drotzmann has shown he will represent us effectively in Salem.
