From the publisher’s desk: Striving to provide a solid news package

- Irrigon's Stephanie Romero signs her letter of intent to wrestle at Treasure Valley Community College on May 1, 2024, at the high school as her parents Araceli, left, and Ignacio look on.
EO Media Group provides one of the best platforms in the region for readers to gather news that is relevant to their community, their neighbors and their families.
A quick glance at some of the stories the Hermiston Herald completed during the last week shows, I hope, our desire and commitment to providing the best news product possible.
From an Irrigon High School wrestlers joining Treasure Valley Community College’s wrestling program to a story about raising awareness about child abuse prevention to a local senior meals program seeking funds, we try to cover as much of the local scene as possible.
Our focus on readers is of obvious importance. We strive to provide a solid news package. Our goal is always to give readers as much information as possible on any given subject. That can be, at times, a difficult task. However, our commitment remains focused on furnishing our readers with news they can use, not just fluff.
In the end, our focus remains on the communities and people that make our area so unique and, I think, such a great place to live, work and play.
Our region has a lot to offer and our ability to showcase what a great place we live is and will always be a key goal.
