Employer resource rodeos are coming to cities in Eastern Oregon during the month of May.

The events will feature an evening of networking and the chance to learn about the resources available to your business from state agencies and other organizations.
An Employer Resource Rodeo will be Wednesday, May 15, in Hermiston at the Midway Bar & Grill, and May 16 in Boardman at the Riverfront Center at the Port of Morrow.
The events include presentations from organizations such as the Department of Revenue, Oregon Employment Department, the Secretary of State, Oregon Department of Human Service and more. Among the topics of discussion are Paid Leave Oregon, OregonSaves, Oregon business incentives and recruitingm hiring and retaining veterans.

MORROW COUNTY — Oregon state wildlife officials on Friday, May 10, reported wolves in the Madison Butte Pack killed another calf in Morrow County.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife reported that was the third attack the pack has made this year on livestock on private land in the area of Upper Rhea Creek.
ODFW reported staff on May 6 confirmed the pack caused the death of a 4-day-old calf as well as the death of a 2-month old calf at the end of April.
And the Madison Butte Pack around April 22 injured a 2-day-old calf.
ODFW also has reported the WA123 group of wolves was responsible for killing a 3-month-old calf near the end of March along Balm Creek on private land in Morrow County.
