- Dr. Jamie Robinson, a board-certified family medicine physician, is the newest member of Good Shepherd Health Care System's Rural Health Clinic in Hermiston.
HERMISTON — Good Shepherd Health Care System announced it has hired Dr. Jamie Robinson, a board-certified family medicine physician.
Robinson joins Drs. Nicole Patching and Stewart Swena, family nurse practitioners Angie Hays, Michelle McIntyre and Kaila Sullivan, and doctor of nursing practice JoDee Williams in the Rural Health Clinic at 600 NW 11th St., Suite E-37 in Hermiston.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Robinson to the team,” stated GSHCS President and CEO Art Mathisen. “Growing our primary care services is how we support healthy, thriving communities in our region.”
Robinson in a press release said Eastern Oregon’s country living appealed to her.
“I’m drawn to rural living and sunshine,” she said. “I enjoy being outdoors with my family and taking care of our horse. This area and the team at Good Shepherd felt like a great fit for me.”
Robinson completed her residency five years ago at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. She obtained her medical doctorate in 2016 from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica.
A primary care provider helps a patient to manage all their health care needs, according to the announcement. PCPs are typically the first health care professional a patient connects with for preventive care or treatment of any medical need that is not an emergency. Regular primary care visits correlate with better health outcomes and a lower risk of premature death, since most health issues can be addressed early on.
“I like caring for all ages and primary care is needed throughout a person’s lifetime,” Robinson said. “My goal for primary care is to have good bonds and trust with my patients during every step of their health care journey.”
Robinson is taking patients of all ages. To learn more about Robinson and the services she provides, visit shorturl.at/Ku4Gj. For more information, call Good Shepherd at 541-567-5305.
