Tuesday, May 28

8:27 a.m. A resident of West Pheasant Avenue, Hermiston, came to the Hermiston Police Department to seek information about a his neighbors and their dogs. He was upset that police could cite for his dogs barking and he does not understand that when his neighbors keep kicking balls against his fence.

9:55 a.m. A caller reported the theft of a vehicle from Leezer Avenue in Echo. Local law enforcement determined it was a civil matter.

10:54 a.m. A caller reported a black cow was standing on Highway 74, Heppner. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office contacted the cow’s owner.

11:02 a.m. A Umatilla resident reported fraudulent charges using their bank card and a delivery on the 1500 block of Third Street.

11:29 a.m. Hermiston police responded to a fight at Southwest Ninth Street and issued a citation.

1:55 p.m. A caller reported a power line was down at Kunze Lane and Paul Smith Road, Boardman.

Wednesday, May 29

11:11 a.m. A 911 caller reported an assault on Third Street in Umatilla.

1:44 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Ione School District on a complaint about a juvenile.

1:48 p.m. A caller told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office there have been juveniles recently being loud and vulgar at night at Hager Park, Heppner.

2:32 p.m. Umatilla police received a complaint about scam calls coming from Umatilla.

3:04 p.m. The Ione School District reported a broken window on a school bus. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

Thursday, May 30

12:33 p.m. Oregon State Police responded to the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 205 for a 2002 Mercedes Sprint van that stopped on the shoulder due to mechanical problems and then caught fire. The fire departments of Pendleton and Echo responded, along with the Oregon Department of Transportation. The fire led to the closure of the right lane of travel for an extended time while firefighters extinguished the vehicle blaze plus a small grass fire that sparked off. There were no injuries.

3:13 p.m. A caller told Umatilla police a dead cat was on the corner of Alameda Court and Columbia Boulevard and youths are messing with the carcass as they pass by it.

6:46 p.m. A 911 caller reported a cow was in South Highway 395 in Stanfield.

10:37 p.m. Stanfield police received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance on North Sloan Street, Stanfield. Police made an arrest.

Friday, May 31

7:38 a.m. A 911 caller reported a shed and wood pile were on fire on Baxter Road in Hermiston.

8:47 a.m. A caller reported an emu was was on the loose on Highway 74 in Ione.

11:12 a.m. Stanfield police received a report of a domestic disturbance at North Main Street and East Coe Avenue in Stanfield.

1:49 p.m. A resident on Garrison Lane, Boardman, asked to speak to a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy about a situation with the neighbor and cow.

2:41 p.m. A caller reported a den of possums was on his property on Division Road in Irrigon.

3:40 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of an assault on the 100 block of Southwest 10th Street.

8:35 p.m. Callers in Umatilla on Chinook Avenue and in Columbia Boulevard reported gunshots.

Saturday, June 1

12:14 a.m. A caller asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to send a deputy to an address on Southeast Eighth Court, Irrgion, for domestic violence.

2:06 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of child abuse and/or neglect.

5:49 p.m. Hermiston police received a 911 report for a domestic disturbance at Northeast Fourth Street and East Jennie Avenue.

6:57 p.m. Hermiston police received a 911 call abut child abuse and/or neglect.

7:43 p.m. A 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance on Wisteria Lane in Hermiston.

8:37 p.m. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a repot from Knapp Street in Irrigon about a wife who assaulted her husband.

10:22 p.m. A caller at the Sinclair Station on Main Street North in Boardman reported people throwing rocks at a vehicle and involved in a fight. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

10:58 p.m. A resident of Northwest Church Street, Heppner, reported a person yelled at him and drove around his house.

11:39 p.m. A 911 caller on West Quince Avenue in Hermiston reported a domestic disturbance.

Sunday, June 2

6:21 p.m. Umatilla police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Stockton Avenue.

8:55 p.m. A caller asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to send a deputy to his daughter’s residence on Southeast Eighth Court in Irrigon for someone fighting.

10:08 p.m. An Irrigon resident on East Highway 730 complained about a loud party across the street. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded and contacted the noise makers.

Monday, June 3

11:59 a.m. A caller reported a burglary on the 2300 block of South Highway 395 in Hermiston. Police took a report.

1:19 p.m. An Oregon State Police fish and wildlife trooper received a report of a dead cow with suspicious injuries near milepost 7 on Hanna Arbuckle Road, Heppner. A trooper investigated and took photos.

1:36 p.m. A 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance on Yakima Street in Umatilla.

2:41 p.m. A woman reported the theft of the steps to her recreational vehicle at Childer’s RV Park in Ione. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

5:20 p.m. A caller on Southwest Fourth Street, Irrigon, reported a recurring problem with people breaking his irrigation sprinklers.

Arrests, citations

May 31

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office on the 900 block of East Hurlbert Avenue, Hermiston, arrested William Eugene Stolz, 50, for restraining order violations.

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office on the 74500 block of Depot Lane, Irrigon, arrested Justin Ismael Garza, 33, for first-degree sexual abuse.

June 1

Oregon State Police arrested and later cited and released Salvador Duran Gonzalez, 41, of Pasco, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, speeding and two counts of reckless endangering on Highway 395 in Hermiston.

June 2

Oregon State Police on eastbound Interstate 82 near milepost 5 arrested Jacqueline Marie Douglas, 35, felony fleeing, DUII (alcohol), third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct.
