SALEM — Nearly 320 students, including Lucas Seibel and Cara Westing, both of Hermiston, graduated from Oregon Charter Academy. The online school held a commencement ceremony for the class of 2024 on June 8 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem.

The tuition-free virtual public charter school was established nearly 20 years ago. It serves students across the state in kindergarten through 12th grade. In addition to online learning, Oregon Connections Academy has about 50 student clubs, holds monthly field trips, provides career and technical education programs, and offers college credit options.
