Community Fourth of July celebrations in Hermiston, Boardman and Stanfield — on Thursday, July 4 — offer everything from park activities and parades to live entertainment and vendor booths. Admission is free, however, some activities charge a fee.

In addition, each town will light up the night sky at dusk with fireworks displays, including above the Hermiston Butte, over the Columbia River at Boardman Marina Park and near Stanfield High School.

HERMISTON — The annual Stars & Stripes Fourth of July Celebration features a full afternoon of family-friendly fun from 3-10 p.m. at Butte Park, 1245 NW Seventh St.

It includes food and vendor booths, live entertainment, outdoor games and more. Watch for flaggers, who will direct traffic after the fireworks show.

The celebration temporarily shifts to Main Street for the parade at 11 a.m. — then, returns to the park for a full afternoon of festivities, including kids/adult activities, food booths and artisan vendors.

DJ Kora will spin tunes between live music presented by Juanantonio Lomas, Victory Swig and headliner Zac Grooms.
