Oregon State Police reported a trooper at approximately 11:15 p.m. responded to assist Pendleton police with a fight at the bar. The trooper arrived and was standing next to a person involved in the fracas, according to OSP, when another man “began screaming and threatening to fight law enforcement officers.”
State police arrested that man, Brian Leroy Gallino, 54, of Hermiston, and took him to the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton. But at the jail, according to OSP, Gallino continued to be disruptive and refused to answer questions about bringing prohibited items into the jail, even after jail staff warned him about that several times.
Gallino refused to enter the jail, so county jail staff brought him inside, where they found a small knife in his waistband. Law enforcement booked Gallino into the jail for second-degree disorderly conduct and two counts of supplying contraband.
