PENDLETON — Tania Wildbill will appear on the Nov. 5 election ballot as an unaffiliated candidate for Oregon Senate District 29.
The Oregon Secretary of State’s office accepted 838 valid signatures Thursday, Aug. 22, which is more than the 791 required to add a name to the ballot. Wildbill, of Pendleton, said she is not accepting campaign contributions and had 39 volunteers collecting signatures on her behalf.
Earlier this summer, she hosted an assembly that did not meet the threshold to get her name on the ballot at that time.
Wildbill previously ran and dropped out as both a Democratic and nonaffiliated candidate for the same race.
Her opponent, Todd Nash, won the Republican nomination for the seat during the May 21 primary.
The winner in November will replace Sen. Bill Hansell, R-Athena, who is retiring at the end of the term in January 2025.
