Letter: We need more God to curb ‘gun violence’

There’s no such thing as “gun violence.”

Guns don’t get up and commit violent acts. That’s absurd. People do.

Unmoored from God people do — in every case. Bring more God (love, beauty, truth, goodness, etc.) and less narcissism (worship of self), into people’s lives and there’s less violence. Proven facts and correlations that are often cast aside like ants at a picnic.

Naturally, I still like a .410 shotgun to kill rattlers; perhaps a .22 to peg varmints digging in my hay field for a few hours on a weekend evening — suds at the ready.

God bless.
