HEPPNER — The Bank of Eastern Oregon announced its school mascot debit card program contributed more than $7,261 to participating area high schools in 2024.
According to a press release, the mascot debit card program was launched in September 2013. It serves high school Associated Student Body programs in Oregon at Heppner, Riverside, Irrigon, Ione, Condon and Weston-McEwen, and Colfax, Washington. Three new area high schools will be added in 2025.
The program generates 5 cents per transaction with each school mascot card to that school’s program. In addition, the annual $10 renewal fee for each card also goes directly to the ASB after the first year.
“The school mascot cards provide much-needed extra funding for these student body programs,” Chief Operations Officer Becky Kindle said. “The mascot cards are a great way for fans to show their mascot spirit and help generate funds for local high school ASB accounts.”
Based in Heppner, the Bank of Eastern Oregon operates 16 branches throughout Eastern Oregon. In addition, it has loan production offices in Madras and Ontario. For more information, search www.beobank.com.
