PENDLETON — The sounds of Queensryche will blast into Wildhorse Resort & Casino, marking the progressive metal band’s first-ever performance in Eastern Oregon.

The three-time Grammy-nominated band will play May 27 at 7 p.m. in the casino’s Rivers Event Center. The concert is open to ages 21 and older. A cash-only bar will be available.

Organizers expect the show to sell out. Presale tickets for Club Wild members began Wednesday, April 2. They are available to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 4.

According to a press release, after forming in the Seattle area in the early 1980s, many of the band’s singles landed on the Billboard charts, including “Silent Lucidity, “Eyes of a Stranger” and “Take Hold of the Flame.” Also, four of the band’s albums made Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart.
