I recently took over Grocery Outlet in Hermiston in December, so newer to the area, new owner. And made changes to the store, trying to get out in the community more. Really making positive changes in the store for customers as much as possible.
Where did you grow up?
I’m originally from Eugene and moved out here from the Portland area.

What are a few of your hobbies?
I love running, actually, running, hiking, staying active.
How do you spend your free time?
Being outdoors and spending time with my kids. My kids are ages 3 and 6.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a very personable, caring and passionate person. I love talking to people and interacting with people. And spending time with my kids and friends.
What is something that you’re passionate about?
I’m passionate about a lot of things. A big passion of mine is youth. I used to work with youths, those who are struggling, and helping them find a path to a better life. That ties into my efforts to get involved in the community, trying to help with local fundraising and events. My favorite thing about being a business owner is getting to collaborate with different people and getting involved as much as possible in the community. And on a lighter note, I’m passionate about living an active lifestyle.
What are a few personal or professional accomplishments that have been satisfactory to you?
I would say, looking back, graduating college is the first thing that comes to mind. And completed a couple of half marathons, and getting ready to do another one. And being a mom and being involved with my kids. And at only 30 and being a business owner. That’s not an easy thing.
What do you like most about the community you live in?
I truly love the small community vibe that is here. Everyone is super friendly, everyone is there to lend a hand to everyone. You don’t get that as much in a bigger city.
