Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Bonnie Greiner and my husband’s name is Glenn Greiner, we own the store across the street from the Hermiston Herald — Wild Goose Design.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in California but I grew up on a farm in Minnesota. I came to Hermiston 52 years ago, we’ve been in the same house for 52 years.

What are a few of your hobbies?

Art for sure, we do all kinds of artwork. I love music, can’t sing worth a darn, but anyway … And gardening is my passion, I love gardening.

How do you spend your free time?

My husband and I are pretty busy, we have 5 acres and three cats and one foster cat. We’re pretty busy with what we do, the store and upholstery. My husband was born and raised in Condon, so he has some relatives and friends around. We attend functions with our friends and stuff. We love to be at home and we stay pretty busy with our business.

How would you describe yourself?

I would say I’m pretty arty, especially with what I wear. I love vintage things. I’m also pretty active for all the things that we got going on.

What is something that you’re passionate about?

I’m passionate about my family. I’ve got 11 grandchildren. None of them live here, but we keep in touch often.

What are a few of your proudest accomplishments?

My husband and I work together so we are kind of two peas in a pod, we really enjoy each other and the things we do together basically have to do with our business and our gardening, but we’ve traveled a little bit. We enjoy where we live.

What do you like most about the community you live in?

We’ve been here for 52 years, had a store here years ago. Then I started the store over in Tri-Cities and had a store there for 20 years, and then eventually moved back to Hermiston. It’s fun to see the town growing and the people here, and the people are so friendly. I meet people in my store and ask them if they are from out of town and they say “Oh we just moved here, and we found your store.” I’m excited about the future of Hermiston.
