Tuesday, March 7

2:06 a.m. A caller in Seattle reported his parents live at Green Acres RV Park in Irrigon and he received messages they were being held at gunpoint and he had to pay $900. Local law enforcement responded and found everyone was OK and the call was a scam.

9:06 a.m. Hermiston police received a report of a burglary on the 600 block of East Main Street.

10:11 a.m. Umatilla police received a report of an assault in the area of L and Seventh streets.

1:10 p.m. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle theft on East Hooker Road, Hermiston.

3:28 p.m. A caller in Umatilla reported someone attacked her daughter on the school bus.

3:59 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of an assault on the 400 block of East Sunset Drive.

6:24 p.m. Boardman police received a report from Custom Feed Services about the theft of 10-15 tires worth $10,000. Police took a report.

8:08 p.m. A caller at Castle Rock Apartments, Boardman, reported a trashcan was on fire.

Wednesday, March 8

9:29 a.m. A caller on Anderson Road, Boardman, requested a welfare check on a girl who has a new wound every time she comes to school. The caller stated the girl had not shown up at school that day and the mother was not answering her phone.

10:04 a.m. Hermiston police received a report of child abuse/neglect.

1:42 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Riverpoint Farms, Hermiston, on a report of a burglary.

3:45 p.m. Hermiston police responded to Southwest 10th Street on a report of a fight.

5:04 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to Highway 730 and Paterson Ferry Road, Irrigon, on a report of a T-bone car crash. Police issued a citation and took a report.

5:21 p.m. A caller at Oregon Trail RV Park, Irrigon, reported someone called him and told him they were coming to his house to kill him. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded.

6 p.m. Hermiston police responded to the 1400 block of Southwest Ninth Street on a report of an assault.

8:05 p.m. Hermiston police responded to Southwest 10th Street on a report of shots being fired. Police did not locate anyone shooting.

9:57 p.m. A panicked 911 caller on East Diagonal Boulevard, Hermiston, reported she wanted to take her children and leave her home but she did not have permission to drive. The dispatcher reported it was a possible domestic disturbance. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded.

10:02 p.m. A caller on Southeast Skyline Drive, Heppner, reported someone hacked into his social media and online payment service and withdrew $300. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation.

10:04 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Kiwi Court, Umatilla, on a report of a domestic disturbance.

Thursday, March 9

7 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Bud-Rich Potato Inc., Hermiston, on a report of a burglary.

1:25 p.m. A caller on Wagon Wheel Loop Road, Irrigon, requested a deputy assist with getting her 75-year-old brother to Sun Terrace Assisted Living Facility in Hermiston. She stated he has dementia and is refusing to go. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded.

1:34 p.m. Hermiston police responded to the 600 block of Southeast Sixth Street on a report of an assault.

2:49 p.m. Boardman police initiated activity at Riverside High School after the principal reported a fight.

3:25 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to East Third Street, Ione, on a report of two women having a verbal argument.

5:24 p.m. A caller on Wilson and Southeast Anderson roads, Boardman, reported a man wearing all black was walking down the road and playing with a long gun. Police responded.

5:26 p.m. Boardman police responded to Sinclair Station, Boardman, on a report of a man causing a disturbance.

5:49 p.m. A caller at Port View Apartments, Boardman, reported someone popped his tires. Police responded.

8:19 p.m. A caller at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Heppner, reported a vehicle keeps doing donuts and burns outs in the parking lot. The caller stated this is the third night in a row this has happened.

Friday, March 10

8:22 a.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Adams City Hall on a report of an assault.

3:22 p.m. Hermiston police responded to the 2000 block of Northeast 10th Street on a report of an assault.

7:35 p.m. Stanfield police responded to East Jane Street, Echo, on a report of a disturbance.

Sunday, March 12

4:18 a.m. A caller on Paul Smith Road, Boardman, reported dogs were barking on property south of his. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy checked the area but did not find the dogs.

11:33 a.m. A resident on Southeast Cowins Street, Heppner, reported the neighbor’s dog attacked his dog, and this is an ongoing situation. He said he wanted the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office aware in case he has to use deadly force.

12:54 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Columbia Boulevard on a report of a disturbance.

1:16 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to McClintock and Yoakum roads, Echo, on a report of gunshots.

2:32 p.m. A caller on Frontage Lane, Hermiston, reported someone dumped two dead horses on his property.

2:55 p.m. A resident on Linden Way, Heppner, reported the theft of a wheelchair. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy took a report.

8:50 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to West Sunland Avenue, Hermiston, on a report of a domestic disturbance.

8:59 p.m. A caller reported he walked into the restroom at the Knights Inn/Village Restaurant, Boardman, and heard a male load and cock a gun. The caller said the male was wearing brown plaid flannel, was bald, big and Latino and was sitting in the bar by the jukebox. Local law enforcement responded.

Monday, March 13

12:16 p.m. A caller on Northeast Chase and East Willow streets, Heppner, reported a black and white cattle dog is chasing individuals. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and returned the dog to its owner.

1:44 p.m. Umatilla Police Department received three anonymous online complaints regarding possible fraudulent activity.

3:57 p.m. A caller on Washington Lane, Irrigon, reported her 1992 Black GMC pickup was stolen. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

4:19 p.m. Irrigon ambulance services responded to California Lane after receiving an alert from a medical mobile device for a man who fell and hit his head. An ambulance transported the patient to Good Shepherd Medical Center.

6:32 p.m. Umatilla police responded to Umatilla Inn on a report of a domestic disturbance.

6:32 p.m. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies responded to Kurz Lane and Highway 730, Umatilla, for the theft of a vehicle.

8:40 p.m. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies and Irrigon Rural Fire Protection District responded to Froberg Lane, Irrigon, on a report of a grass fire.

Arrests, citations

March 7

Hermiston police arrested Matthew Louis Spargo, 39, for violating probation and on 10 counts of violating a restraining order.

Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cody Calvin Watts, 33, for second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.

March 8

Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Don Norman, 40, for second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree aggravated theft, possession of burglary tools and criminal conspiracy.

March 9

Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy Edward Olea, 50, for possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing.

Hermiston police arrested Nathaniel James Curtis Rambel, 22, for attempted unlawful use of weapon and second-degree disorderly conduct.

March 11

Hermiston police arrested Dean Hendricks, 23, for felony fourth-degree assault.

Boardman police arrested Xenia Yaileen Velasco, 23, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol).

Hermiston police arrested Anthony Solis Lemus, 25, for felony hit-and-run, DUII, reckless driving and second-degree assault.

Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Martha Ann Phillips, 45, for first-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

An Oregon State Police trooper at 9:48 p.m. stopped a Chevrolet Silverado for failure to drive within the lane at East Elm Avenue and Diagonal Boulevard, Hermiston. The trooper subsequently arrested the driver, Jose Alejandro Garcia III, of Hermiston, for DUII (alcohol).
