TIGARD Ethel Nordstrom died Saturday, Dec. 7, in Tigard. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20 at the Westside United Methodist Church in Beaverton.
She was born on June 6, 1919, in Willamina, to Samuel and Viva Davis, and grew up in the Fort Hill area.

She married Gustav Nordstrom in 1939 in Seattle, and lived in McMinnville until they moved to Port Angeles in 1942, Boardman in 1954, and to the Portland area in 1968.
Ethel was an accomplished pianist and liked music, sewing, canning, knitting, crocheting, going on trips and the beach.
Survivors include her children, Donald Nordstron of Forks, Wash., Thor Nordstrom of Ferndale, Wash., Karl Nordstrom of Beaverton, daughter, Linda Nordstrom of Port Angeles, Wash., Tyra Bunnis of Wasilla, Alaska, Ruth Zufelt of Ocean Springs, Miss., Susan Weaver of Tigard, Hilding Allen Nordstrom of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and cousin, Maxine Massey of McMinnville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustav; and son, Nils.
