Tuesday, June 18

6:11 a.m. Emergency services received a callout for an overdose on South Edwards Road, Hermiston.

6 p.m. A 911 caller reported a burglary on East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston.

8:39 p.m. A resident of Northeast Linder Lane, Hermiston, reported the neighbors’ chickens were at his house and he was not able to reach the owners to come get them.

Wednesday, June 19

1:25 p.m. A 911 caller reported an assault at Umatilla River and Jones Scott roads, Umatilla. Law enforcement took a report.

7:19 p.m. Umatilla police received a report of a theft at the Crossroads Truck Stop.

Thursday, June 20

1:14 p.m. A 911 caller reported an assault on Butter Creek Road in Echo.

5:05 p.m. A two-vehicle crash at Highway 207 and Feedville Road, Hermiston, resulted in several people going to the hospital. Oregon State Police reported a trooper responded to the crash and found a 2006 Toyota Tacoma was southbound in the turn lane on Highway 207 to head east on Feedville when a 1997 Toyota Tacoma was heading north on 207. The driver of the first Tacoma, Madison Bailey Hanson, 21, of Vancouver, Washington, did not yield the right of way and collided with the other Tacoma. Medics took Hanson to a hospital, and a private party took Hanson’s passenger to the hospital. Local law enforcement gave the second driver a ride to the hospital. OSP cited Hanson for a dangerous left turn.

Friday, June 21

6:23 a.m. Emergency services received a report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 730 and Bombing Range Road in Boardman.

11:01 a.m. A 911 caller reported gunshots at at McNary Dam on Devore Road in Umatilla.

7:25 p.m. Stanfield police received a report of an assault at Hoosier Lane and Umatilla Street in Stanfield.

8:53 p.m. A 911 caller on Highway 395 North in Hermiston reported her boyfriend broke her windshield.

Saturday June 22

9:18 p.m. A caller reported someone was setting off fireworks on Wilson Lane, Boardman, and was concerned it may start a fire.

10:18 p.m. A 911 caller on West Hermiston Avenue, Hermiston, reported a domestic disturbance.

Sunday, June 23

6 a.m. A resident of North Townsend Road in Hermiston reported a prowler was on the porch.

12:43 a.m. A caller asked law enforcement to have people turn down the volume on their noise at the south end of Paul Smith Road, Boardman.

8:38 a.m. A 911 caller on Northeast Eighth Street, Hermiston, reported a psychical domestic disturbance.

10:07 a.m. Oregon State Police responded to westbound Interstate 82 at about milepost 191 near Echo for another vehicle that was on fire. Again the fire was fully engulfing the car, and this was a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. Local firefighters also responded. There were no reports of injuries.

2 p.m. A 911 caller on Northwest 12th Street, Hermiston, reported she was the victim of an assault and was telling the male to get out of the residence.

2:33 p.m. A resident asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office for contact regarding damage to property on Southeast Fourth Street, Irrigon.

6:20 p.m. Hermiston police received a report of child abuse and/or neglect.

Arrests, citations

June 18

Boardman police arrested Rigo Chingo Ruiz, 30, for felony strangulation, fourth-degree assault, menacing and resisting arrest.

June 20

Hermiston police arrested Christopher Tyler Pace, 35, for menacing and fourth-degree assault.

Boardman police arrested Elijah Benjamin Meza, 21, for felony fleeing, reckless endangering, reckless driving, second-degree criminal mischief and four counts of hit-and-run involving property.

June 21

Hermiston police arrested Steven Shane Turnbow, 42, for first- and second-degree theft and theft of a vehicle.

June 22

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office at Oregon Trail RV Park, Irrigon, arrested Victoria Landeros, 24, for second-degree criminal trespass and mail theft.

Hermiston police arrested Steven Earl Sinor, 76, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol).

Boardman police arrested Marcos Zeferino-Vidal, 34, for DUII (alcohol) and failure to carry or present a driver’s license.

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office at the Midway Bar & Grill, Hermiston, arrested Robert Jay Dexter, 42, for felony strangulation.

June 23

Oregon State Police at 1:10 a.m. stopped a while BMW 428 on Highway 395 in Hermiston for numerous traffic violations. OSP cited the 17-year-old driver, from the Tri-Ciries, for DUII, illegal stopping, unlawful use of lights, minor in possession of alcohol by consumption and reckless endangering. OSP also cited the four passengers — a 15-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl — also from the Tri-Cities for failure to use seat belts. OSP also cited the boys and the 15-year-old girl for MIP of alcohol.

Umatilla police arrested Yesenia Maria Lopez, 40, for two counts of menacing and one count each of harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Hermiston police arrested Jennifer Ramirez Canchola, 28, for fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence.

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office on the 300 block of Northeast Aiken Street, Heppner, arrested Daniel Joseph Coiner, 43, for a restraining order violation.

June 24

Hermiston police arrested Alysia Garcia, 25, for misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.
