RICHLAND, Wash. — Area gardeners can order local native plants that will survive and thrive in this region during a sale the Washington Native Plant Society Columbia Basin Chapter is hosting.

Online orders can be placed through Sept. 27 or until supplies sell out at www.cbwnpsplantsale.com. Plants can be picked up and paid for with cash or checks on Oct. 5 at Wildlands Nursery, 2451 Logston Blvd., Richland, Washington. Shoppers will be prompted to choose a pickup time when placing an order.

In addition, the plant society will host an in-person sale on Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. also at Wildlands. A limited number of native plants will be available. Also, the nursery will offer a selection of locally sourced native shrubs and trees, for separate purchase.
