REEDSPORT Albert Earl Shaw, 66, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 8 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1934 in Kennewick, Wash., to Edward and Anna Shaw. He was married to Cynthia on June 1, 1974 in Walla Walla, Wash.
Albert retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1993 after a 32-year career with the railroad. He was a member of the AFL-CIO. He had been a Reedsport resident for five years.
He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and walking on the beach.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Cynthia Shaw of Reedsport; a daughter, Charlene Weller of Washington; sons Robert Nichols of Jacksonville, Fla., and James, whose whereabouts is unknown; sisters Calla Mae Weipert of Spokane, Wash., Rosalie Bates of Walla Walla; and Loretta Moss of Springfield; brother, Frank Shaw of Hermiston.
His parents and a brother, Mac Shaw, preceded him death.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite childrens charity. Dunes Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
