Cam Longley

May 23, 1911-Feb. 13, 2001

BRIGHAM CITY Cam Longley, 89, passed away Feb. 13, 2001, at his home.

He was born on May 23, 1911, in Ozona, Texas, to Cam and Josephine Young Longley. He married Elethia Lee Williams on June 18, 1938.

Cam served in the U.S. Army, including commander of the Umatilla Army Depot from March 27, 1958, to June 3, 1961. He retired as a colonel in 1961.

He is survived by his wife, Lee, of Brigham City; two daughters, Josephine Jo Heck of City Island, N.Y., and Jeanne Longley of Portland; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Cam was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Longley Meeker.

Cam was cremated and his cremains will be interred in the cemetery at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in New York. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the charity of choice or to the Church of Christ in Brigham City.

Arrangements were made by Petersen Funeral Chapel.
