Hermiston Post Office hosts job fair April 18

HERMISTON — The U.S. Postal Service hosts a job fair Friday, April 18, at the post office in Hermiston,

The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to the Postal Service’s announcement about the job fair, attendees will get a hands-on look at employment opportunities in Hermiston and throughout Oregon.

USPS personnel will be at the event to provide detailed information about available positions, answer questions regarding USPS employment and walk future employees through the application process on-site. Starting pay for Postal Service employees ranges between $19 and $20 per hour, depending on the position. Benefits include regular pay increases, paid vacation leave, health insurance and growth opportunities.

Career employees can earn premium long-term benefits that include:

The job fair will look to fill positions for rural carrier assistants. Positions for city letter carriers, mail handlers, retail associates, drivers and maintenance technicians also may be available.
