HERMISTON POLICE

APRIL 7

A Jack in the Box employee reported a stolen car. It later turned out the missing car was a late-night prank at the burger joint.

A child who refused to leave McKenzie Park prompted a phone call to the police. The child’s mother called police when her son refused to ride home from the park with his grandma.

A mysterious caller named Mark who claimed to work for the U.S. government grant department offered a Hermiston resident $7,000.

Corinna Ann Taylor was arrested for criminal trespass after she allegedly broke into her former home to retrieve her belongings after the home had been foreclosed upon.

Hermiston police arrested Braulio Chavez, 22, and Jeffery Hofman, 18,  after receiving a tip of possible drug activity. The pair were charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

APRIL 8

A Hermiston resident received a $4,995 check in the mail unexpectedly and reported a possible fraud to police.

An anonymous caller advised police that a neighbor’s dogs were running loose and one of the dogs had eaten six bowls of dog food on her porch.

Two Hello Kitty bicycles were stolen from a yard on Northeast Christy Drive. One bike was pink  and one was purple. Both had training wheels.

Todd Ellis Ladwig was arrested for failure to appear in court in the second degree after he was spotted standing on the corner of First Street and Elm Avenue holding a cardboard sign.

A green Acura Integra, license 595FBU, was stolen from a residence on Northeast Gladys.

APRIL 9

A house on Northeast North Street was egged.

An Irrigon cow was out near Highway 730 and County Line Drive.

Three girls and two boys apparently peeking into cars with flashlights prompted a concerned citizen to call police.

A burned pie set off a fire alarm at Sun Terrace.

A trap set for cats caught a stray opossum on Northwest 11th Street.

Several items, including a Nintendo DS, dance shoes and costume, were stolen from a vehicle on East Catherine Avenue.

Billy Wesley Day was arrested and charged with felony domestic assault and criminal mistreatment after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

APRIL 10

Tyler James Sanders, 18, was arrested for failing to report as a sexual offender.

A 16-year-old was charged with providing alcohol to a minor after giving a friend an alcoholic energy drink, causing the friend to vomit. The father of the vomiting boy called police.

A pit bull named Drake garnered a citation for his owner after Drake charged a neighbor in the neighbor’s yard.

A dog locked his owner out of the car while waiting in the parking lot at Walmart.

Marketplace
