Fleetwood Corporate Director of Investor Relations Kathy Munson confirmed the Pendleton Plant let 22 positions go recently.

That’s equivalent to about 7 percent of the employees. Before the layoff, the plant employed 305 people.

“We’re just trying to match production to demand and right now demand is slow,” Munson said. “Industry conditions are off by about 20 percent due to economic conditions and how those affect consumer confidence.”
