Viola Mildred Carroll, 93, the only child of Salvin and Viola Carroll, died April 18, 2008. She was a lifelong resident of Hermiston and Morrow County. She was living at Hermiston Terrace. She requested her body be donated to science. She wanted no funeral or memorial service and her remains will be interred next to her parents in the family plot at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon with these two words: “I Tried.”
