Cecil Adrean Sutton of Puyallup, Washington, passed away on May 13, 2012, at the age of 83 after a long struggle with Parkinsons disease. He was born August 23, 1928, in Rainier, Oregon, to Lester Carlyle and Stella May (Perkins) Sutton. Cecil always loved anything mechanical, and after graduating from high school in 1946 in Stanfield, Oregon, worked for a couple of years as a riveter at Boeing Company in Renton, Washington.

Drafted in 1951, Cecil served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was trained as a small arms repairman. He served in Pusan, Korea, with the 518th Ordinance Medical Maintenance Company, and held the rank of corporal at the time of his honorable discharge in November 1952.

Cecil returned to Boeing, where he worked a total of 19 years, making his home in the Puget Sound area and enjoying his hobbies: motorcycling, jet skiing, compound bows and hydroplane racing. He left Boeing in 1967 and was then employed for 20 years at Bellevue Kawasaki. He treasured memories of travel to Crater Lake, Lake Havasu and Yuma, Arizona, to visit his friend Gene Louthan.

Soon after retiring, he met his life partner, Judy Harris, a native of Korea. Quiet and unassuming, Cecil had a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He was a terrific son, brother and friend, and will be deeply missed by all those who loved and respected him.

Cecil is survived by Judy Harris and eight of his original nine brothers and sisters. Cecils surviving brothers are Vernon of Hermiston, Gary of Fremont, Nebraska, and Aaron of Stanfield. His sisters include Maurine Hansen of Stanfield, Ina Beck of Auburn, Washington, Iva Collins of Buhl, Idaho, Beverly Schatz of Lacey, Washington, and Jeanne Davies of La Grande, Oregon. His parents and a brother, Elroy, preceded Cecil in death.

On 1 July, 2012, a memorial service will be held at the family home in Stanfield to celebrate Cecils life. Burial will be in the Hermiston, Oregon, cemetery.
