Business Spotlight: U.S.A. Subs & Grill provides fresh, hot food

Ever since U.S.A. Subs & Grill opened in Hermiston in 1984, the goal has been to provide area residents with fresh food with great customer service, manager Cindy Littlefield said. She has managed the restaurant for the past 30 years and said the relationship with customers and the ability to provide fresh ingredients are the reason the business has been successful and busy every day through the years.
We dont pre-make anything, she said. We slice the meats daily, and our No. 1 focus is customer service. That is what we really pride ourselves on.

3. Products offered: Cold and grilled sub sandwiches, hamburgers, fresh fries, chili cheese fries, wraps and a variety soft drinks.
4. Busiest time of the year: Summer is probably busier than average, but we stay busy throughout the year, Littlefield said. Were busy Monday through Sunday.
5. Most popular item: Our famous chili cheese fries. We are known all over for our chili cheese fries. When you go to (Pendleton) Round Up, all you can see is people with are our chili cheese fry cups . There is no secret. We just make sure they are made fresh. Everything we do is made fresh.
6. Most popular sandwich: The Destroyer, a sub with eight meats, including ham, turkey, roast beef, cotto salami, bologna, pastrami, Italian salami and pepperoni, and provolone, cheddar and Swiss cheeses.
7. Biggest success: Customer service. We know we have good food, but it is the customers that make us a success, Littlefield said.
8. Plans for the future: Were just going to keep doing what were doing, Littlefield said. We are going to continue to make fresh food and offer great customer service I would say we are a family. We are very close.
