Richard M. LeBoeuf

Richard Miles LeBoeuf, 67, who spent most of his life in the banking industry, died after a battle with cancer Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.

The family has scheduled a memorial service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 485 W. Locust Ave., in Hermiston at 1 p.m. Friday with a reception afterward. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Craigmont Cemetery in Craigmont, Idaho.

Mr. LeBoeuf was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Grangeville, Idaho, to Gene and Judy LeBoeuf. He attended grade school in Riggins, Idaho, and high school in Grangeville, Idaho.

He attended Lewis Clark Normal College in Lewiston, Idaho, where he met the love of his life, Ronna Myklebust. They married August 24, 1963, and this year celebrated 45 years of marriage.

The LeBoeufs lived for eight years in Craigmont, where he worked at Berry’s Grocery. He then began his career in banking at First Security Bank. In 1971, he transferred to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and in 1980, Mr. LeBoeuf returned to Craigmont. He owned and operated a local restaurant, The Food Factory. In 1982, he returned to banking with Idaho First National Bank in Lewiston, and in 1986 he moved to Umatilla, where he went to work for Inland Empire and Banner Bank. In 2003, Mr. LeBoeuf went to work at Community Bank until he retired May.

His family believes he left this world too early, but they know they will see him again in Heaven.

Mr. Leboeuf was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed trips to Seattle to watch the Mariners and Seahawks.

Survivors include his wife Ronna; daughters Tami Thomson and husband Jay; Randi Garrett and husband, Jon; and son, Rick LeBoeuf and Andi; seven grandchildren, Justin, Kailey, Sydney, Maddie and Ben LeBoeuf, Melissa Thomson and Tyler Garrett; mother, Judith Irwin LeBoeuf; sisters Sunday Wesche and husband Bud, Sue Underwood and husband Perry and sister-in-law Helen LeBoeuf-Benninger, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene LeBoeuf; brother Jim LeBoeuf; nephews Luke LeBoeuf and Todd Dugger, and father-in-law, Tom Myklebust, who are waiting his arrival in Heaven.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care of hospice and suggests memorial contributions be made to Vange John Memorial Hospice, 1050 W. Elm Ave. Suite 220, Hermiston, OR 97838 or to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Craigmont, Idaho.
