During the robbery, a man walked into the Center Market, 530 N. Main St., Stanfield, and demanded cash, according to Bryon Zumwalt, Stanfield Police Chief. Zumwalt said the cashier provided an unspecified amount money and the suspect left.

Police responded to the scene shortly after the robbery and remained at the convenience store until about 5 a.m.

The suspect was captured on video and is described as a Hispanic male, around 20 years old, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and a thin mustache.

The police chief said the man did not display a weapon.

“He never tried to conceal his face,” Zumwalt said. “We are hoping we can get further information from the public to identify that suspect.”

The last store robbery in Stanfield was also at Center Market and also in the early morning, Zumwalt said. In that incident, the convenience store was robbed at gunpoint in early December.

“Anything suspicious, call dispatch and we are more than happy to check it out — even if it’s nothing, especially at that time in the morning,” Zumwalt said.

Anyone with information about this case, or who knows the person in the photos, is asked to contact the Stanfield Police Department 24 hours a day through dispatch at 541-966-3651.
