The following sentences have been imposed in Umatilla County courts:

• Asterio Castro-Pelaez, 26, Hermiston, pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine; sentenced to 18 months probation, 90 sanction units, 30 maximum jail units, $440 fine, $1,000 fine-suspended and 6 months driver’s license suspension, plus court costs and fees; pleaded guilty to three counts of DUII; sentenced to 40 days jail, 180 days jail-suspended, 5 years probation, 160 hours community service, $935 fine, $1,250 fine-suspended and lifetime revocation of driver’s license for each count, plus court costs and fees;

MISDEMEANOR

• Jose Vielmas Carvajal, 56, Boardman, was found in Contempt of Court-punitive; sentenced to 30 days jail-suspended, 1 year probation and $100 fine, plus court assessment.

• Semer Avila Flores, 35, Hermiston, pleaded guilty to Driving While Suspended; sentenced to 180 days jail-suspended, 2 years probation, $1,040 fine and $600 fine-suspended, plus court costs and fees.

• Nicholas Benjamin Jones, 32, Hermiston, pleaded no contest to Failure to Perform Duties of Driver; sentenced to 180 days jail-suspended, 2 years probation, $40 fine, $1,650 fine-suspended, $1,410.78 restitution and 90 days driver’s license suspension, plus court costs and fees.

• Charles Leslie Roland, 54, Umatilla, pleaded no contest to Physical Harassment; sentenced to 90 days jail-suspended, 2 years probation, $190 fine and $750 fine-suspended, plus court costs and fees.

• David Allan Simantel, 56, Centerville, Wash., pleaded no contest to Physical Harassment; sentenced to $375 fine plus court assessment.

• Frank Jesse Walker, 37, Umatilla, pleaded guilty to Theft II; sentenced to 30 days jail and $40 fine, plus court costs and fees.

• Shawn Eugene Cowett, 51, Heppner, pleaded guilty to Failure to Perform Duties of Driver; sentenced to 2 years probation, 40 hours community service, $340 fine, $1,538.10 restitution and 90 days driver’s license suspension, plus court costs and fees.

• Daniel Shawn Morton, 43, Boardman, pleaded guilty to Menacing; sentenced to 2 years probation, 60 hours community service, $40 fine and $1,650 fine-suspended, plus court costs and fees.
