WORLD WAR I HIGHWAY SIGN DEDICATION, 9 a.m., Pendleton VFW, 1221 S.E. Court Place. A ceremony honoring Umatilla County veterans who served and died in World War I includes speeches by military veterans, Color Guard and “Taps” played by a military band. Three signs honoring WWI vets will be erected on Highway 395 south of Pendleton and north of Hermiston on Thursday. (Glenn Scott 541-667-3125).
