- Keith and Florence Collins in 1947
Keith and Florence Collins of Hermiston, Ore., are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
May 17, 1947 marks the day that they made their wedding vows to each other in Phillipsburg, Kansas. After living in the Midwest for a few years, they moved out west. They have called several states home — Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and California — but Hermiston, Oregon, was their longest residence of approximately 30 years. Keith and Florence have belonged to the Hermiston Methodist Church for many years.
Their children, Cynthia Johnstone and her husband Wayne Johnstone from Washtucna, Wash., and Tanya McNeil and her husband Larry McNeil from Inglis, Fla., join with them in this joyful time. Their five grandchildren celebrate as well: Curtis Johnstone, Shauna Miller, Trenton McNeil, David Johnstone and Tauna Soller. Their great-grandchildren number 15, and they also have one great-great-grandson.
