When and why did you move to Hermiston?

I moved to Hermiston in 2015. My then fiancé (now husband) worked at Union Pacific’s Hinkle yard so I moved from Western Washington to be here with him.

What is your favorite place to eat in Hermiston?

My favorite place to eat is Ixtapa. I can’t get enough Mexican food.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to paint and hide rocks with my best friend, Sherriy. We are part of the Hermiston Rock Hunt.

What surprises you about Hermiston?

I guess I’m surprised how everyone seems connected here, in one way or another. I’m from a much bigger, more populated area!

What was the last book you read?

Boy, I think the last book I read was “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins.

What website or app do you use most other than Facebook?

Pinterest, definitely. I get a lot of art inspiration from there.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

If I could travel anywhere, I think it would have to be to Europe. Greece, France, Spain … pick one!

What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?

I was in a store and I was going through the discount carts up by the registers. I found a pack of red meat at the bottom of one, and vocally expressed my disgust. Then a man came around the corner and stared at me. Apparently that was his cart. I laughed for days. Lesson learned: if you don’t see clearance stickers, it’s probably not part of the clearance…

What is one of your goals for the next 12 months?

One of my goals in the next 12 months is to move and get settled in Las Vegas. My husband recently started a new career there.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My kids. They’re pretty fantastic!
