Phi Kappa Phi initiates Irrigon student

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi recently initiated Kimberly Renteria Montes. The Irrigon resident is attending Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.

The nation’s oldest honor society for all academic disciplines, approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni are initiated each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.

Founded in 1897, some of the organization’s notable members include former President Jimmy Carter, NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence and novelist John Grisham. For more information about Phi Kappa Phi, visit www.phikappaphi.org.
