Inland Development Corporation awards scholarships

The Inland Development Corporation recently announced it awarded 27 scholarships for 2022.

While the corporation didn’t release names of the individual recipients, according to a press release from Jerry Healy, the winners represent students from high schools in Hermiston, Boardman, Heppner, Ione, Irrigon and Monument. Of the award winners, Healy said 23 will be attending two- and four-year colleges. The other four will be entering trade apprenticeships and attending technical schools.

This is the 12th year the nonprofit organization has awarded scholarships, which includes 253 area students totaling more than $650,000. Inland Development Corporation was formed to provide broadband services to schools throughout Eastern Oregon. For more information, visit www.inlanddc.org.
