Hermiston graduate receives State P.E.O. award

It was recently announced by Hermiston-P.E.O. Chapter DR that Cydney Sanchez is the recipient of the organization’s state-level Oregon Marguerite Scholarship.

The 2022 Hermiston High School graduate received a $2,000 scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. She plans to attend the University of Oregon to study speech pathology.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization that celebrates the advancement of women by assisting them in pursuing and achieving their highest aspirations through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College.
