Northwest FCS announces scholarship recipients

Northwest Farm Credit Services has awarded 94 students from its five-state territory a total of $235,000 in scholarships. In Oregon, 27 students will each receive a $2,500 college scholarship.

Local recipients and their schools are Morgan Orem of Heppner, who received a graduate scholarship, is attending Texas A&M; and Marlenne Mendoza of Umatilla, who received a Diversity scholarship, is studying at Oregon State University.

Since the program began in 2007, Northwest FCS has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to 1,077 students in the Pacific Northwest. For more information, visit www.northwestfcs.com/scholarships.
